After the Chargers’ Cameron Dicker nailed his fifth field goal of the game from 54 yards out to start overtime, the Eagles drove from their own 31 to the Chargers’ 17, but on a first-down play, Jalen Hurts threw a pass that was tipped by cornerback Cam Hart and intercepted by safety Tony Jefferson at the 1-yard line.
According to Elias Sports Bureau, Hurts became the first player since at least 1978 — when Elias starting tracking statistics — to commit two turnovers on one play. “This is maybe the most wild play I’ve ever seen,” Eagles legend and ESPN analyst Jason Kelce said on the “Monday Night Football” halftime show.
