On November 24, 2009, John Jones became trapped while exploring Nutty Putty Cave in Utah with his brother Josh. He mistakenly entered a narrow, unmapped tunnel instead of the “Birth Canal” and became wedged upside down. Jones was stuck in a space measuring just 10 by 18 inches, nearly 400 feet underground. Despite desperate rescue efforts lasting over 24 hours, he could not be freed and eventually d!!ed due to cardiac arrest caused by prolonged inversion. The cave was later permanently sealed. �
